Get our help Get our help Children’s palliative care seeks to provide a child with the best quality of life possible from the time that they are diagnosed with a serious illness and need palliative care, until the point where specialist palliative services are no longer required, or until the end of their life. Palliative care isn’t just about physical care such as pain relief, but also emotional, social and spiritual support. We offer a range of services to support children and their families, from respite and step down care to groups and therapy. Staff and volunteers at Richard House Children’s Hospice work hard to ensure that all children and young people are cared for in a safe, secure and caring environment. The palliative care that we give to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions acknowledges their individual physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
