Help spread awareness of your partnership with Richard House by sponsoring one of our hospice events, or by having our team support your own bespoke event plans that showcase your business and goals.

Your Bespoke Company Events

The Corporate Partnerships Team at Richard House are always delighted to support with any events our corporate partners are planning, whether they are a fundraiser for the hospice or a wider-scale organisational meeting, AGM or client event. We'd even love to be a part of your company socials to help raise the profile of our partnership and celebrate the efforts of your team.

One key way in which we are always happy to support and champion our partners is through speaking at your event; whether that is the Corporate Partnerships Team, our CEO, Head of Care, a member of our nursing staff or even a family who can share their experiences. Visit our Request a Speaker page to find out more.

Further event support which we can offer includes:

Event Planning

If you want to host an event in aid of Richard House, as either a fundraiser or an awareness builder, then the Corporate Partnership Team has a wealth of experience that can help get you started. We know what works well and will listen to your needs, to help you tailor an idea into an event that will be accessible and inclusive to your target audience. We want to support you in being adventurous and ambitious, mixing tried and tested fundraisers with bespoke, fresh events that will keep your staff and stakeholders engaged in the partnership. Whether you are completely stuck for an idea or just not sure how to bring your vision to life, get in touch with us

Equally, we are happy to offer event support beyond fundraising, including championing your partnership with Richard House; as part of your efforts in securing new business, presenting to your Board or as part of any function for your shareholders. Again, this support can include top-level Richard House speakers, even where possible our Patrons and associates who could bring an extra dimension to your event.

Materials

We have all the physical resources you need to make your event a success. You can email us to make a request for any of the following: Richard House pop-up banners, reusable pin-up banners, banded bunting or balloons, branded tablecloth, branded bang-bang sticks, plus branded collection tins and buckets that each feature a unique QR code - no longer can people use the excuse that they have no cash!

We also have on request a contactless tap to donate machine which can make a brilliant solution for events where you anticipate needing to take a lot of donations quickly, or for office floor-walks. Finally, we have Richard House t-shirts which you and your team can wear on the day to make your event look all the more professional.

We also have literature that can be displayed around your event, such as flyers and postcards providing a brief overview of Richard House, or posters for our upcoming campaigns. If you want to showcase Richard House as part of a presentation, or have looping screens playing in the venue, then we can also provide video content for you, such as;

  • for non-audio needs, a selection of images and quotes from our families,
  • testimonial from nurses showcasing what a day in their life is like,
  • a virtual tour of Richard House,
  • and how our families responded to the question "What would life be without Richard House?".

We have also worked with partners to create bespoke literature or video content for their event, so would be happy to discuss this with you.

     Event Stewardship

If you are running an event in aid of Richard House then we can come along on the day, not only to speak if required, but also to support the event team in the logistics and execution. For instance, if you need us to help man a station, such as a bake sale or raffle, we would be happy to - or we can drum up engagement on floor walks and give people a chance to ask any questions they may have about the work that Richard House does in an informal way. Whatever you need us to do on the day to help get the best results, the Corporate Partnerships team is here for you.

Saying Thank You

There is nothing more important to us than saying thank you to the individuals who give their time and/or money to engage in an event for Richard House. Please chat with your corporate partnership manager when planning to decide how best we can arrange a thank you post-event, that reaches everyone who participated or helped organise. We have made videos, written personalised thank you cards, offered invitations to future events at the hospice, all to ensure that the people who keep Richard House going know how much the hospice values their efforts.

Sponsoring a Richard House Event

Every year the Richard House Corporate Partnerships Team organise a variety of fundraising, CSR and networking events for our corporate partners, the details of which you can always find here

On top of this, each year there are also events run by the whole team at Richard House, which span all our donors and stakeholders. Some examples of these would include our Gala Rainbow Balls and Summer Fairs, which you can engage with as a corporate sponsor or contributor.

All of our sponsorship packages involve multiple levels of support that you can select from, including the option to sponsor a specific part of the event as well as differing financial asks. We aim for your sponsorship to help with the exposure of your business and the great community work you are doing, so will also look to promote your involvement through the event materials, communications prior, during and post event, and more!

Details of any upcoming opportunities for sponsorship will be added to this page, and you can see below for an example of the great success these collaborations can have.

Corporate Spotlight: Credit Agricole CIB, Holt Energy Advisors and Principle Cleaning Services

Richard House Summer Fair 2019

Our Summer Fair in 2019 was the most successful yet, raising over £5000 for Richard House in July on a beautiful summer day that was filled with music, dance, laughter, cake and exploration for our children and families!

Prior to the event we offered the opportunity for our corporate partners to join us as sponsors of the event, with three different packages available that increased in donation size and subsequent company exposure on the day.

We were delighted that one of our long-standing partners, Credit Agricole CIB, opted to support through our Silver Package and sponsored £1000 to the event. This meant that the event costs were covered, and what was raised on the day through the market stalls, games, raffle and food could go directly to the vital services Richard House operates for families year-round. The company also donated some goodies including books, wine and Molton Brown toiletries to our raffle!

Alongside sponsorship, companies were also offered the opportunity to host their own stand at the fair, offering a great chance to interact with the East London community and contribute to the fundraising of the day. Two of our partners, Holt Energy Advisors and Principle Cleaning Services, took up this offer and showcased their talents beyond their business.

Holt served up some delicious brownies and ran a penalty shoot-out that proved so popular, by the end of the day the football was completely deflated! Principle arrived in style, dressed head to toe as Disney characters despite the heat, and offered handmade jewellery and face-painting which went down a treat. All the proceeds made by both stalls were donated to the hospice, helping us reach the fantastic final total.

Credit Agricole CIB, Holt Energy Advisors and Principle Cleaning Services received special mention in the speech given by our CEO, Chris Baker, as having helped to make the event such a huge success, and on social media in the days following.
