I have been working for the NHS for the past 22 years, 18 of which I spent in Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) For the past 8 years I have held senior management roles, both within the private and public health sector. I have experience in research, neuro trauma and neurosurgery, hepatology and liver transplantation, cardiac surgery, burns and plastic surgery and general PICU.
I have a keen interest in research and I am a faculty member of the National Institute of Health Research.

I have taught in the University of Karbala, Iraq, teaching basic life support to nursing students. I am currently learning Arabic.
