Having a brother or sister with a life limiting or life- threatening condition can cause anxiety and sometimes guilt to a sibling. Parents are often busy and tired carrying out the daily cares of the child and other siblings can sometimes feel isolated, left out or resentful. Family time is usually around the needs of the child and plans often have to be changed.

Sibling groups provide fun trips and activities with other boys and girls living in similar circumstances and give the opportunity for life- long friendships to be made. Emotional support can be given by talking through their feelings with their peers or with experienced staff in a non- judgmental way.

These groups provide special memories for the siblings and allow them to just be their -self doing something that is fun.
