Richard House Children’s Hospice has six busy charity shops which rely on the generosity of the local community to donate goods to sell.  Some of the donations we receive can achieve a higher price if sold through eBay, therefore raising more funds to help our children and families.  We are looking for someone to help us run our eBay site by photographing and listing items, ensuring sold goods are packed and dispatched, replying to customer enquiries and keeping track of stock.

What skills do we need?

A proficient level of IT skill, including knowledge and understanding of eBay, will be an advantage, however training will be given and support is available from the Retail Operations team.  Good customer service skills are vital and you will need to be able to work independently plus be able to hand over the work load at the end of your shift to ensure that any sold items are dealt with quickly and efficiently.  We are looking for someone who is organised, confident, friendly, reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn.

How much time will it take?

We’re asking for a minimum commitment of one four hour shift per week Monday to Friday, however if you would like to do longer or more shifts this may be possible.

Location

Richard House Children’s Hospice, E16 3RG.

What are the benefits?

You’ll gain first-hand experience of working in an office environment with other members of the Richard House team.  You’ll also learn more about the charity, retail and care sectors.  In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to build and develop administrative, IT and communication skills.
